Title of position: Terminal Designer I

Position type: Full Time

Pay range: $22-$25 (Hourly)

Location: Westminster, Colorado

General Characteristics: Entry-level position that presents a basic understanding of creating Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) from point cloud data. Should have entry-level knowledge of using point cloud data to redline and verify P&IDs.

 

Required Skills:

  • Organize and prepare drawings for delivery while maintaining security and confidentiality in a timely manner.
  • Basic navigation of Leica TruView and Jetstream.
  • Utilizing client-supplied existing documentation should be able to walkdown P&IDs from point cloud data under close supervision of a project lead.
  • Required to recognize and properly redline valves, fittings, and equipment P&ID symbology.
  • Utilizes AutoCAD®, and Leica software to manage and create drawings adhering to company CAD and drafting standards.
  • Drawings must have a professional appearance.
  • Responsible for accurate back check of individual work, against checked documents.
  • Establish working relationships to maintain a positive and productive work environment internally and externally.
  • Display the ability to learn quickly and make minor discretionary decisions without supervision.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Must be a self-starter with initiative, a hard worker who can work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Must be detailed oriented; precise and organized in the handling of drawings.
  • Solid organizational skills are required; must be able to prioritize multiple tasks
  • High School diploma or equivalent required and/or community college drafting/CAD courses.
  • Strong computer skills and proficient in Microsoft office, AutoCAD® and Leica TruView.
